Students who are interested in music may follow a variety of 'tracks' depending on their interests. All students begin with either Patriot Choir, Patriot Band, or Patriot Strings (magnet classes); or Mixed Chorus or Concert Band (comprehensive classes), and then select the track that they wish to follow.

Instrumental Music Program

Students following the Instrumental Music track will be able to audition for Wind Ensemble or Symphonic Winds (band) or Symphonic Orchestra (strings) after completing their freshman year. A student participating in any instrumental ensemble is eligible to audition for the Jazz Ensemble. All students are involved in Marching Band activities. Performing in these ensembles, students will experience a wide variety of music, develop their skills in theory, history, and sight reading, as well as choreography via the show choir. Basic music technology, auditioning, composing and conducting will also be explored in this prime preparing students for college level courses.

Music Technology / Technical Theatre Program
